World Collage Day 2026
Momigami
Get ready.
World Collage Day 2026 will mosaic social media this Saturday, May 9, 2026.
This is THE day artists and art venues worldwide celebrate collage.
Initiated in 2018 by Kolaj Magazine, editor Ric Kasini Kadour writes “We created World Collage Day because we wanted to honour this community of artists and to remind the world what a spirit of cooperation, mutual support, and creativity can look like.”
Imagine that.
Get your collage on! Grab a pair of scissors, maybe two pairs, one for each hand or heck, tear your paper - who needs scissors - and cut up an old magazine, maybe the Chewy cardboard box broken down in the recycling bin - hey, grab the tossed vitamin packaging while you’re rummaging about - because most anything can be used in collage. Fabric, photos, old love notes from your high school flame, plastic, metal, items found in the street - whatever can be stuck or sewn or welded or marveled into a new image - DO IT!
And … join the celebration!
Tag your work #WORLDCOLLAGEDAY and post on social media. Or not, it’s up to you. But do plan to sit back, enjoy the collective work and prepare for one thought to flash across your mind. You thought you had seen everything.
Warning: Collage can be meditative.
Thanks for reading.

So glad to learn of World Collage Day, Sheree — I’d never heard of it! Thank you for sharing. I’ll see if I can’t somehow create a collage on that day. 😊
